3 STRIKES AND YOU'RE OUT!
As the forum continues to grow, we are now keeping records of anyone who abuses the forum rules.
A. First strike: WARNED (Duration: 7 Days)
- You will receive a warning via PM by any of the moderators or admin about the situation. It will automatically be sent
by whoever issued the warning. In the PM, it will state that you have received an Official Warning and the link to the post.
* This does not affect your status in anyway; it's just a warning! DON'T FREAK OUT!
* If during this period and you receive good standing, it will automatically unwarn you in 7 days.
B. Second strike: MODERATED/MUTED (Duration: 14 Days)
-- MODERATED. All your posts will not show up. They will be pending on validation for quality.
-- MUTED. You will not be able to post at all.
- If you continue, any member of the management team has the right to moderate your posts and/or deny you the privilege
to post at all. So please take a moment to come back and read the rules if you ever received a warning to make sure you
wont be moderated or muted.
* This status will last for 14 days.
* If you stay in good standing during these 2 weeks, it will automatically unmoderate/mute you.
C. Third strike: BANNED (Duration: Temporary/ or PERMANENT)
- Once you receive privilege back on the forum, and yet again abuse the rules; you will get banned permanently.
* NO QUESTIONS ASKED. NO EXCEPTIONS. HAVE A NICE LIFE.

GENERAL RULES
A. Any rude, offensive, and stereotypical posts are not allowed. If you have something against another member, ignore them
or try to work things out.
Do NOT bring in any grudges you hold towards any individuals/ members from reality into the
forums, take that somewhere else. We are NOT here to babysit you nor solve your life crisis.
The only time we will step in for you is
if another member is constantly doing it over and over. If so, please PM any of the member in management with evidence.
We can't do anything without it.

So don't; any direct attack against another member of the forum is not allowed. This includes arguing, flamming, gaining up
on another member, etc...
B. Nudity, obscene, or anything degrading is not allowed. First time, you will be warned. Second, temp. banned or moderated.
Third, banned permanently. The explicit content warnings may alter.
C. Please report any dead links using the "Report to moderator", instead of typing in the forums that the link is dead.
Remember we don't have enough time to check each and every link so if you can, let us know.
D. Admins and Moderators are here to help. Please PM them if you need help or find a member breaking the rules.

SAFETY ISSUES
A. Do not share personal information on Hlub.us.
This includes:
-specific locations,
-residential addresses,
-home/ mobile phone numbers,
-credit or any sort of card numbers,
-and etc., whether or not they're yours. Keep them in PRIVACY.
B. It CANNOT be within any signatures, threads, posts, or the shoutbox that is viewable by the mass; that is why it is called
"personal" information. It's quite obvious and that is a no-brainer whatsoever.
C. If you desire to share your personal information, please do so appropriately.
- It is clearly no longer the Stone Age; there exists such things as Private Messages in Hlub.us and E-MAILS within
servers such as Yahoo!, Hotmail, MSN, SBCglobal, etc., etc., and you get the fine point.
D. This is a serious issue on everyone's safety; likewise, please look forward to this for assurance. No one likes to be blamed for,
for another's mistake nor would we like to be acknowledged of an absurd incident (that could have been avoided).
E. If you continue exchanging publically your or someone else's personal information (even through personal messages without
the person's consent and is found), YOU WILL BE BANNED with no questions asked and no exceptions.
F. Lastly of this specific topic, please choose beyond wisely of who you exchange personal information
with over the internet;
- We're pretty sure you know that there are STRANGE people in the world.
- If you don't realize this, sit back and observe for a long, long, long and quite extensive while, geez.

SPAMMING
If you are a noob/newbie/new member to the forum and is just spamming for your 30 posts so you can view the media section,
you will get banned permanently. No questions or reasons given as you should know why.

If you are constantly replying to threads that only require a simple answer, please give a reason why and put more effort in the
reply or it will be considered spam. If you put no real attempts in the reply and constantly do so in sections that require one word
posts such as the 411 or Junkie, it will be considered spam.

IF YOU ARE STARTING A NEW THREAD THAT HAS NO DIFFERENCE WHAT SO EVER TO SOMETHING YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY
STARTED, IT IS CONSIDERED SPAM. AS A RESULT, HERE IS AN EXAMPLE:

To broaden what is considered as spam, look below:
A. Includes a couple word sentences.
B. Includes smiley faces, one words, or stuff such as "lol" "wtf" "yeah" "oh" etc.
C. Includes sentences such as "yes, this is my 29th post, 1 more." etc.
D. Includes crap like "fdsfdsfdss" "2f2fe" etc.
E. Got the point? If not, you need serious help and WILL GET BANNED.

POSTING, DISCUSSING, & ANY ATTEMPTS AT WHICH ACTIVELY ENCOURAGE:
A. Software cracks
B. Serial no's
C. Keygens
D. Appz sharing
E. Illegal patches
F. Illegal downloading of any software is not allowed on here!
Yes, this includes Personal Messages also. If found, you can and could be banned.

USING OTHER MEMBER'S PERSONAL PICTURE OR INFO
If caught, we will notice you and expect that it be removed within 48hrs or by the next time you log into your account.
Whichever comes first. If you choose not to, it is considered as a form of plagiarism and you can face a permanent or temp. ban.

PICTURE & TEXT CONTENT
Signatures & Avatars
Any signatures or avatars containing rude, offensive, degrading, nudity, and stereotypical images and/or messages are not allowed.
Additionally, these guidelines applies:
A. Signatures must not be greater than 200px in height. We are not strict on the width, but if you abuse it; we will.
- This applies to MULTIPLE pictures amounting to over 200px also.
B. Although we don't enforce it strictly, do NOT make your signatures insanely big where it equals to a couple MB in size.
- If you do and if there is a complaint, we will remove it. An example are animated movie signatures/avatars.
C. For avatars, just conform to the rules stated when uploading one.
Pictures
D. Do not upload any photographs that are inappropriate.
- This includes: sex (excessive skin, genitals, etc.), violence (along with weapons), and drugs.
E. If you are found uploading such content found in either the gallery or Hlub.us' server, you will follow up to consequences, even risking to be banned.
F. As a member of Hlub.us, we trust you that if you find any other member uploading such images, you will please immediately notify an Administrator or an active MOD that day.

REQUESTS & MEDIA
A. For all your requests, please request only in the "Request Board."
- This includes single tracks, albums, and movies ONLY.
- If you have anything computer related like softwares or programs, ask in the "Computer Freaks" section. Abide the rules though.
B. Music
- Unless you are taking the time to rip and upload tracks/albums yourself, please give credit to whoever you took it from.
May it be from another member, another forum, or from another source; We don't like freeloading/leeching and neither do they.
C. Movies
- PLEASE only upload asian related movies. PLEASE do not upload any american related movies. With uncle breathing over our
necks, it's not worth the risk to see Hlub.us shutdown.

MODERATION
Finally, do not ask if you can be a moderator. If we need help, either phong or leo will approach and ask you if you would like to be a
part of the team.

WHY ALL THIS?
Simple. This stuff is illegal and I am sure I don't need to define the term "illegal" to you. If you want to do this, do it
somewhere else, but not on Hlub.us. It will lead to legal matters and I am sure I speak for all when I say that I don't
want to see Hlub.us get shutdown. Anything of this matter also adds to the chances of viruses through the appz and
the price is far greater than the risk if Hlub.us was to be blamed.

Downloading Content

Many of us have seen people come and go, downloading music that is hidden content until you post. There is a purpose for that post that you put up, it should include a "thank you" of some sort whether or not their content is hidden.

We are saying this over and over again, too constant and too consistent, THANK the member(s) who uploaded the file(s) for you. They took TIME out of their day to upload those things for you to share.

You should not leech off of them. Treat people like you would want people to treat YOU - that is supposed to be something you should have grown up to know, something in YOUR common sense. It is a no-brainer, quit humiliating yourself to yourself and others even if in cyberspace. The uploading Members are the backbone that holds together the media in Hlub.us so treat them with respect.

Don't spam to reveal hidden media content.

If you spam, oh, don't worry, we will treat it like spam and you will RISK in being warned or even banned.
Save the trouble, type a SIMPLE thank you or thanks and go on with your day.
It is that simple, too, too simple. This shouldn't even have to be mentioned at all, but unfortunately, it is.

Bad examples/ spam:

, what's this?, is it any good?, let me see if I like it, let's try this, etc.

^Those are not considered a thank you. You DISCOURAGE people to take time and upload their things. Pretty soon, they'll be no more files for you to download and don't wonder or even complain to us why. So do your job, it is really, really not that hard so don't make it hard.

Good examples: Thanks, thank you, thank you for sharing!, thx, very much appreciated!, etc.

Consequences will be enforced, so don't wonder why. You have been warned of the cause. Do not be surprised at whatever will arrive at your next login if you abuse the rules.
